Scandinavian Winner show 2009

At home again after a fun and exciting weekend spent at the Scandinavian Winner show in Nyköping, Sweden.

Although exhausted after two nights of bad sleep (who can sleep with the feeling of fluttering butterflies in the stomach in anticipation of the coming show day - and with two cuddly and/or playful cats to keep company), here comes a short report.

Nessie hoping for her ninth CACS had two competitors which was extraordinarily unusual in group 3 (and class 3)... The other girls were one year younger both of them, one from Finland and one from the Netherlands, both quite good looking. It made my day when Nessie turned out the winner! The BIV went correctly to one of the adult males, of which there were a handful of stunning ones.

Tristan had one competitor which he won over without further ado, even though he was a nice looking young boy. The BIV went to the 3-6 kitten.

Sunday started out with nominations and there were four adult females. A birman girl took it, which was totally fine as she was lovely. Tristan had one competitor, a young birman, but our purring boy left with the nomination prize. Joy!

The panel was of course a thriller on my part... On stage were several of the top cats 6-10 months at shows at the moment. The nine votes turned out 3-3-2-1 with one vote for our sweet teddybear. Not that bad! It made me happy to see him behaving so nicely at the stage with such a lively audience.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend!
