Now...

...our internet connection will be disconnected and we will not be back online until who-knows-when...

Soon...

Kiwawa's kittens should arrive during the weekend if all goes well... She is tired, hungry and acts like an extramum to both Ivette and Bridget, so she is getting ready... Her stomach looks like a storming sea, so her babies seem to be doing just fine!
The cats use the baby gym more than baby Elias do... Elias is more focused on crawling around, exploring the kitchen,
while all the cats enjoy the soft and cosy 'pool' and Bridget enjoys playing with the hanging toys.

Kiwawa has gained a lot the past few weeks and is now up to 6.8 kilos... Well, usually she weighs 5.9 kilos so the weight gain is not that impressive ;) It seems as if there are kittens on both sides and, judging from the movements, maybe more than one on each side. She loves when we put our hands on her big belly and purrs as soon as we come near her. She surely loves being a mum and now she will enjoy it for one last time...

Why not?

Everyone else has a blog these days...

This blog is meant to save us some email time for a while... We are moving to a new house on June 30 and because of lousy planning (which could be further expanded and motivated) we also expect two litters in July. Who knows how much time we will have by the computer - or of the phone company will succeed to install adsl during the holidays at all... Here we will display all news and because of our foreign friends and visitors it will be a bit more international.

So, eight more days in our old home! Feels strange to move to a new house after nine years in this where we have experienced so much and always felt at home. Hopefully the new house will be even better - at least it is bigger!

Today we felt the first undeniable movements in Kiwawa's belly! (Maybe a bit late as she has just a bit more than a week to go, but she is rather round even without being pregnant) Actually, first we saw lots of movement and who can keep their hands away after that?! Kiwawa loves all attention when she is pregnant and especially she loves us to feel her belly. That is more than we can say about Älva... Älva has four more weeks to go and her belly is starting to get a roundish shape but we are not allowed to touch it. But she is doing just great.

Beautiful little Bridget is growing so fast and her extramum Ivette takes such good care of her. It is hard to find a friendlier cat than Ivette (whom even got milk when Bridget arrived - even if she is a neutered virgin) and we are happy that she will be the extramum for our future litters, to teach them to be extra cuddly.
