Showtime

Our BuffySpeak-litter, consisting of Big Bad, Pointed Tooth Fairy and Grr Argh participated in a cat show not far from us and got lovely judgements all of them. The litter was Best in Show (but well, they were the only one...) and the best of all - they behaved perfectly and charmed almost everyone they encountered during the show day with their incredible cuteness and relaxed behaviour.

Grr Argh and Pointy have now moved to their new homes and we wish them both a happy life in their respective homes! Grr Argh will be a loved pet outside Gothenburg and Pointy lives in S*Zarkesha's cattery where she will fit in perfectly together with the other diva's.

Anansi had a great day at the show, even if she still cannot understand why she cannot be let loose as there are so much to explore in the show hall! Never frightened but almost too curious and playful, that's the definition of our sweetheart. She got Ex1 (out of two) BIV NOM and in the panel the votes were scattered. She got two votes and the winner got three votes, so we were quite pleased.

Yesterday I took the 5-week pictures of the Metal-litter, one day early. They are simply adorable all of them :) The boys have already found great new homes, but nothing is still decided about Dreamtale. We are quite pleased with their development so far and they even have tufts on their ears :)

Serenity has accepted the arrival of the little ones now that they are a bit bigger and cuter ;)
Chai expect her babies anytime now. She wants me to stay close to her so I hope I will have more news about the little ones cuddling in her big belly later today when they are hopefully cuddling on the outside instead...

First impressions

A newborn lamb! Our fourth lamb 2008, only a couple of hours old. Simply adorable! We will name her Aerin. The previous Aerin turned out to be a male and is now known as Anduril...

We will enjoy having sweet Biggie with us for another month. These social kittens follow us around, sit in our laps and have soft and lovely temperaments. The ragdoll behaviour when being held is practiced daily especially by our children ;) They also make fantastic teddybears when watching TV as young E here demonstrates (Pointy slept in J:s lap next to them).

Only a few more days until Chai's babies will arrive! She is quite big...

Jeppson has an appointment at the vet for neutering next Wednesday. We will see if we can go through with it considering the excellent temperament and promising type of his offspring... ;) Our host kittens are so sweet, very social, easy to handle and cuddly - thanks E&A for marvellous work! The promising type we have Tiggy and Jeppson to thank for. Smooth, straight profiles. Strong chins. Nice proportions all over and funny looking ears (which is usually a good sign)... But then, even though Jeppson is clearly a silver cat, it seems as if none of his offspring are silver so far?! Would love if we got a litter that was unlikely in a way that was wished for next time...

New Moon Rising

So what does a free-ranging norwegian forest cat do at night? Enigma, he climbs trees. The dark blob on a branch in the picture is him, just loving it. And he climbed even higher. Then proceeded down and positioned himself at the summit of the mountain, gently licking his fur and enjoying the mile-wide view for at least 20 minutes.

Birthday

Late Friday night, the first lamb of this year was born! Here he is less than 12 hours of age and follow each step of his proud mum. Such a cutie with a weight just above two kilos! Now we hope he won't get cold in the snow that actually falls again this morning.
As we have five more sheep (ewe), we expect more lambs during the months to come.
Yep, this is proud daddy, called Aladdin and two years of age.
I tried to get nice new pictures of Jeppson, but being the sweet boy he is, he only wants to cuddle and refuses to pose even for an instant. With some help of holding him, he was at least caught on picture. Two weeks from now he turns two years of age and he has two recently born litters with quite nice babies. Not that impressive looking in summer coat, but he is still lovely :)

Sleeper

The cuties are one week of age and as sweet as can be :) We are quite pleased with Jeppson's first litter in our cattery. All four have smooth profiles (no bumps or uneven slopes) and promising head shapes with strong chins. Nice proportions in body/tail and nice boning. It feels too early to say anything about the presence of silver but we have our guesses...

The older kittens are growing nicely and they are so sweet. Chai's babies were more wild, destroying everything they encountered, but these are cute even when they play and they are as sweet as they look. Big Bad will leave the country in the end of May but Grr Argh is still looking for his new home.

Chai's belly is growing bigger and bigger and the result of her love meeting will be revealed in less than four weeks! Chai is a marvellous girl. She is very feminine with a perfect triangular shaped head with straight profile and strong chin. Classic NFO look and nice ears with different coloured tufts. Her body is long and the tail as well but the body is built like a male (not full of hormones, no...) with very wide rib-cage and she is a large girl! She loves being pregnant and purrs all the time. That is, when she is far from our kittens ;) Since she still is as playful as a a kitten, she and her daughter Anansi have a great time hunting each other.
