Beauty and the Beasts

The kittens became a bit too mobile to stay in the kitten run so now they have a whole room to run around in and they love it!
They are so sweet all of them. They relax totally when being held and feel like ragdolls all of them, with nice round bodies. All of them eat dry food with great appetite and gain weight fast. We just love the tufts of all three :) The temper is outstanding.
Big Bad is a sweet boy with promising qualities. The biggest ears and the best lengths of head and body, but still with matching strength and broadness.
Grr Argh is simply adorable with his look and type - simply a copy of granddad Mozilla but in blue! Ok, his ears could be a touch bigger, but on the other hand he has a super strong chin and promising bone structure and triangular head.
Pointy... An adorable girl with ears that make me smile. Oh so feminine but also nicely typed, just like her brothers. She stole my heart at birth, but she will nevertheless move...

Our hostgirl Tigrinya expect babies a few weeks from now and we are awfully curious to see Jeppson's first babies in our cattery! One week earlier his first litter will be born in S*Theodortorp's cattery in southern Sweden.

We would have loved to have a kitten free home this summer, but with China's successfully treated pyometra we do not dare to put her on the pill, so today she came home from a love visit. We expect kittens with strong bone structure, super coats and NFO look and overall great NFO type - if the mating was successful that is...

My pelvis area is still very sore and I still cannot walk on my left leg, but I hope for a quick recovery still... Might as well ask for your patience, all of you who wait for long emails from me. I try my best, but sometimes that is not enough. Sorry.

Wrecked

I had a horse-back riding accident earlier this evening and hurt my back pretty badly, but nothing that won't heal in a week or two (I hope). Thus, I spent the evening in the emergency room and got pretty strong painkillers (that hardly help). No website update tonight but I will try my best to work on the computer tomorrow or the day after. Glad that I have a very handy laptop at home...

All is fine with the kittens. Pointy is booked. More news soon.

Something Blue

I simply adore our blue litter! They develop nicely even if they are a bit slower in the development from what we are used to, still not that mobile. They have a bit funny ears but we have seen these earlier (on Lynx among others). Their tufts are pointing downwards on the tipping ears - cute!Pointy is simply adorable! She is not officially booked but someone has been waiting for her since last summer so the chances that she is looking for her new home are slim ;)
Big is a gentle giant, strong built and promising.
Grr is a careful sweetheart, mummy's boy definitely.

This weekend our cat club had its yearly show and I spent 2.5 days working. On Saturday I brought Anansi along and she got a wonderful judgement, behaved perfectly and ended up as the 3rd best category II kitten in 3-6 months which felt just great!

Chai is healing well from the pyometra and started calling already after the first hormone treatment... Nicky was quick to mate her (yes - he IS neutered) which felt like a bad idea so they are kept separate now. Well, no one says it is a walk in the park keeping a cattery ;)

Nightmares

It seems as if when everything seem great, something bad has to happen. China got pyometra and is currently under medical treatment. Luckily, she seemed to have a light version or maybe we detected it early, but there is definitely hope that we can keep her fertile! But on the other hand, when the treatment is over and her body has healed properly she should be mated on her first heat period... We had planned to have a kitten free summer, but I guess plans are made to be changed. The main thing is that China will be healthy and happy!

The kittens are doing just great and Nessie is a fantastic mum. We are quite pleased with the entire litter, but Pointy is something special...

Some Assembly Required

Well, the two-week pictures are taken but some software is under upgrading and thus the website will be updated tomorrow evening instead. Try to wait patiently...

We wish to send our biggest congratulations and thanks to Miguel and Eva at cattery Vestvegr in Spain who spent weekend after weekend showing 'our' kitten S*Restless Syriana last year, perfectly prepared and with amazing results, resulting in a #1 placement as a kitten on the Skogkatt of the Year list! We are simply amazed...

Her brother Desperado got 9 BIS as a kitten during 2007 as well but the rules says that the shows has to be in different countries so no placement on the list, but we are just as proud anyway!
