Stuff

News since last? Not that much.

We are working on our new cat runs, intended for the studs-to-be. Just need to add net as roof and fasten the doors for them to work as cat runs. Still have to decorate a lot, though! Also have to finish the inside of the stud quarters which is now an empty shed. The boys tried it out yesterday under supervision.

Anansi believes she is pregnant after Kit Kat's exercises a couple of weeks ago. We will soon see if she is right this time. He is still very young, but had perfect technique. I believe his hormones are starting to run higher, but he is still a sweetheart at home. Let us hope he stays that way for quite some time...

Starting to dream about Tigrinya's next litter... Hopefully she will meet someone special this summer.

In the meantime we enjoy the few more weeks we have with Sierra and Topher.

Seven weeks

Topher has a fantastic temperament, being incredibly social and cuddly. He enjoys playing and cuddling with the children and often seeks our company.
Still a bit short-coated, but the woolly part is growing back nicely. About 1.5 cm at the moment. The colour seem to end up red silver blotched tabby with white which he will registered as. WIthout coat to frame his face, he looks a bit strange, but he has nice type and most definitely strong bone structure. He had a weight of 1085 grams at seven weeks of age.
Sierra is the cutest creature... A bit more careful than her big brother, but oh so cuddly and purring when she is in that mood! As a contrast to her brother she is full of woolly coat, making everything seem shorter and smaller. Well, we would like her to be a pet cat out of many reasons, but she has an impressive bone structure for a girl and she will surely turn out a lovely big girl as fully grown. Her face reminds us of a girly, shorter version of her older half-brother SeaMonkey. Her ear tufts are beautiful and Topher has equally big, but as they are red, not quite as visible on pictures.

Growing up

Time flies! Tristan is already four months of age and such a lovely sweetheart! He decided to stay which we of course agreed upon and he has the most intense look and his tail, waving like a dog's combined with his loud purr, shows his happiness. Every female at home cares for him like his mother and he is a funny 'big brother' for our current kittens.
KitKat with his almost already adult look melts hearts... Every cat at home loves him (including Nicky - joy!) and he is super kind to everyone at home, two- and fourlegged. The children carries him around and he hangs like a bean bag. Daily, he demands to visit the cat run where he has a great time, running around until he tires. Strangely enough, he has no trouble sleeping no matter what happens around him, whether it is raining or a forest machine walking past with its loud engine on. Super cool and almost difficult to carry as he is so relaxed.

Both are quite promising type-wise and we enjoy watching their development at close range. Sweethearts!
