Same Time, Same Place

My weekly engagement - spending time in the sofa with the laptop in my lap and the stove burning close by is what my late Tuesday nights is about: preparing pictures and updating the website. The photo session days are the days I'm happy the litter 'only' consisted of four kittens ;)

The kittens are simply the cutest at the moment. They are all very social and cuddly, purring and climbing unto our laps, falls asleep in our hands or laps and add to that a look that melts hearts.

Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight

Having 30 minutes to photograph four cuddly and playful kittens when the daylight is fading and with two very helpful children explains the background to today's title...

Well, the pictures today were quite lousy. Sorry. Promise more and better picture next week...

Enigma is enjoying his freedom! He took a walkabout the other day for 24 hours, but otherwise he stays around the house and is slowly introduced to the ones who do not know him that well. He was in lousy condition both in weight and coat, but it's already starting to get better!

Potential

The promising sweeties are three weeks old today. Later than usually, but I managed to update the ordinary website today anyway! I'll sleep on the flight tomorrow morning instead, but hopefully not during the meeting ;)

Normal Again

Back from a visit at the vet, where we got Enigma's and Tigrinya's hearts thoroughly examined by ultrasound. Both were classified normal with quite good measurements. A bit early still, but we asked the vet to check for signs of pregnancy, but either it was too early or we have to accept that she isn't expecting :( If Tigrinya starts calling again we will let Jeppson have a go and hopefully we will have a chance in the future to go back to the sweetest boy in Stockholm or some relative.

Any minute now, Enigma will be neutered and it will be great to see him getting in full condition both in weight and coat this autumn/winter; running around freely on our small farm. There will surely be loads of pictures on him this winter. (Yep, that's a promise!)

Tomorrow the little ones turn three weeks old! They are sooo sweet all of them. I might as well warn you already that if I'm unlucky, I have too little time on Tuesday to both take pictures and update the website and then you would have to wait until late Thursday for updates as I'm out travelling on Wednesday... Well, let's just hope that everything works out on Tuesday!

Fler glada nyheter idag! Sawai har äntligen kommit hem efter 2.5 månad på rymmen. Verkar dock som om han hade fått mänsklig hjälp hemifrån eftersom han hade irrat runt i Smögen innan han fick följa med en snäll dam hem som, sedan hon fick reda på hur, kontaktade ägarna som bor i Göteborg. En lättnad att Sawai är hemma helskinnad! Det var en ledsam septembermånad när hans bild visades i Skogkattslingans almanacka och man trodde att han var borta för alltid. Nu gläds vi med ägarna :)

Innocence

The cuties are two weeks old! Full of life, crawling around and loves to cuddle. Sitting next to them means having a few kittens trying to climb up into my lap for some cuddling. They all purr with the cutest sound and lies on their backs as charming as a tiny kitten can be :)

No Place Like Home

Finally weekend and a calm one as well! Great to be at home all day to spend as much time with family, cats and kittens as possible :)

The kittens are developing nicely. Anansi is a copy of earlier Nicky-babies (like Tigrinya and Yawning Angel) but even more strongly built. A sweetheart who loves to cuddle in my lap or hands, purring with the cutest sound. Stardust is a great mix between Nicky and Chai. Coraline is more mummy in her looks and she seem to be a bit more adventurous than the others, already trying to walk around with outstretched legs. The only boy, Sandman, is a mummy's boy but cuddly and sweet as well and has a strong resemblance to earlier Nicky-sons. They all purr when being cuddled and it feels like a privilege to have a last litter after Nicky who will be neutered the week after next.

The kittens are promising in type. Great bone structure, amazing chins, promising ears and look but perhaps not the longest bodies or tails. A social bunch :) It is easier to see the details I recognise from Nicky's side as I know them so well, but I'm sure they have inherited a lot from mummy as well. Full of life, they are crawling around, exploring - early like we are used to. Chai is a great mum, taking care of them just as she should. She is also happy and relaxed and takes her breaks when the babies are asleep, running around together with Nessie, creating chaos as usual...
